IC Realtime to Wow Crowds at CEDIA Expo 2014 with Industry’s First 720-Degree Video Surveillance Camera Technology. And its Integrated into Ferrari Race Car

Pompano Beach, FL – September 9, 2014 – At CEDIA Expo 2014 this week, IC Realtime, a global innovator of Internet of Things enabled video technology solutions, will be demonstrating its IC720 remote-viewing platform which captures 720-degrees (with no blind spots and without requiring any moving parts). “Pulling from experience in having brought to market our single-lens Immersive-360 camera line, our R&D division has pioneered a remote-viewing platform comprised of proprietary software — leveraging gyroscopic movement technology — and a dual-lens 720-degree camera system. By incorporating many software sensors and synchronizing both front and rear spheres (camera lenses) together, we’re able to capture 360-degree x 360-degree video to create a 3D-like experience that puts the viewer completely in the center of the action,” says Ivan Onuchin, Executive Vice President of R&D for IC Realtime. “This will create a realm of endless possibilities for what can be achieved in video surveillance. Many different megapixel versions of the IC720 dual-lens camera will be available beginning this year

The 720-degree technology will make its way to market this year in a brand-new series of two-lens mega-pixel cameras from IC Realtime called IC720. Different versions of the camera with interchangeable sensors and lenses to achieve a wide variety of video surveillance needs (including a 28-megapixel version) are currently in the works. According to Onuchin, the technology incorporates 15 unique aspects that the company has applied/received patent protection on.

“We originally spec’d the technology for automobile racing as it’s one of the most extreme testing grounds we can get our hands on,” says IC Realtime CEO Matt Sailor. “Its first application is in Scuderia Corsa’s Ferrari 458 Italia No. 63 – a car that is currently competing on the US circuit, and won the championship last year.”

Founded in 2011 by Giacomo Mattioli and Art Zafiropoulo, Scuderia Corsa Racing With Ferrari is the 2013 Grand-AM Rolex GT championship-winning team that supports the racing needs of Ferrari clients through turnkey programs, GT endurance racing, the North American Ferrari Challenge Series and track events. IC720 worked closely with the team to incorporate the camera into the racecar.

Streaming live high-definition video to mobile devices — and uncompromised at speeds in excess of 100 MPH — the camera is used during practice laps and is planned to eventually be used during racing as well.

Triad Speakers, Inc. Unveils New Speaker for Dolby Atmos Sound

Bronze LR-H model to deliver award-winning Dolby Atmos multi-dimensional sound

Portland, OR — August 27, 2014 — Custom made-in-the-USA manufacturer Triad Speakers, Inc.
today announced a new home theater speaker developed to deliver captivating, multi-dimensional sound with Dolby Atmos. Triad’s Bronze LR-H is an in-room loudspeaker that utilizes a traditional D’Appolito design (2 front-firing drivers with a tweeter located in between). Integrated into the enclosure is a Dolby-enabled height channel comprised of an up-firing top driver array that aims sound towards the ceiling. In the Dolby Atmos system, the Bronze LR-H is used for left and right front and rear main channels (one enclosure per channel).

With Dolby Atmos®, sound comes alive from all directions, including overhead, to fill the home theater with astonishing clarity, power, detail, and depth.

“At Triad, we are very proud of our role in helping Dolby develop the standards for Dolby Atmos enabled loudspeakers,” says Triad Speakers, Inc. President and CEDIA Chairman Larry Pexton. “Dolby used Triad design and development services to prototype the upward firing Dolby enabled speakers and supplied our prototypes to its industry partners who used them to evaluate electronic components licensed under the Dolby Atmos program.”

Demonstration at CEDIA Expo 2014
Triad will display the Bronze LR-H at its CEDIA Expo 2014 booth (#448). The Dolby booth (#180) will include two live presentations of Triad speakers, one using four InRoom Bronze LR-H (built-in Dolby enabled upward firing speakers), and another using four Triad InCeiling Bronze/8 LCRs for the overhead sound.

“Triad has been developing and experimenting with a wide range of solutions including in-room, in-wall, on-wall and in-ceiling designs,” says Pexton. “Somewhat to our surprise, in testing our speakers we have found that the built-in height channel — which reflects off the ceiling — performs better in some applications than using dedicated ceiling speakers for the height channel.”

“At the CEDIA Expo, listeners will be able to form their own judgment of which system they prefer. Either way I am very confident they will leave very impressed with capabilities and added sonic dimensions of the Dolby Atmos systems presented,” furthered Pexton.

The Bronze LR-H is priced at $1,000 MSRP per speaker. Availability is slated for Q4 2014.
