Janine led the development of many new incremental opportunities at RGB Spectrum. Janine began her career influencing Sales, Operations, and Manufacturing to push IT and Pro AV products out the door in areas not identified by Sales.

Arsenal Media won the Silver Content award in the Business, Industry and Government category, for the Christie Cypress Lobby content strategy development of the 64-megapixel, 50 foot-wide curved media wall that welcomes visitors, dealers and employees at the company’s headquarters in California. The display solution of 108 Christie MicroTiles at native resolution projects presentations and educational training. Arsenal Media and rp Visual Solutions nominated Christie for a DSE Apex award for which it won Bronze.

Materials and Methods received a Gold Content award for the Interactive Art Video Wall at State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) in Raleigh N.C., which it produced and directed. Eighteen 55-inch Christie LCD flat panels were staggered at that site to exhibit animations and abstract art content created to engage and inspire visitors.

Kazakhstan Telecom/A+1 Productions, nominated by content provider Arsenal Media, received the Bronze Apex award in the Public Spaces category for its digital canvas of 100 Christie MicroTiles, real-time 3D content and interactive remote controller.

Barix Introduces Next-Generation In-Store Radio Solution

SoundScape delivers comprehensive management and audio playout solution to help retailers, businesses efficiently engage consumers

Matrox Mura Network API Brings Exciting New Digital Signage Functionality to Mura-based Video Walls

The updated API lets ISVs add eye-catching transitions and effects to their video wall software. Matrox at Digital Signage Expo 2014 — Product Preview

H.264 encoders/decoders, video wall controller boards, and external multi-display adapters to be showcased

At DSE 2014 (Las Vegas, Feb. 12-13, booth 348), Matrox® Graphics Inc. will present Matrox Maevex™ 5100 Series H.264 encoders/decoders, Matrox Mura™ MPX Series video wall controller boards and Matrox DualHead2Go and TripleHead2Go™ external multi-display adapters. Demonstrations will show digital signage integrators and retailers how to create high-impact, memorable and interactive user experiences for their customers using Matrox multi-display products.

H.264 Encoders/Decoders
Matrox Maevex 5100 Series delivers excellent streaming quality at a fraction of the price of traditional encode/decode systems. Maevex video over IP solutions enable the extension of Full HD quality 1080p60 video over standard IP networks. Bitrates are user definable between 100Kbps and 25Mbps allowing for multiple streams on both 100Mb and 1000Mb standard networks. Maevex H.264 Encoders and Decoders capture, stream, and decode video from a variety of sources, and even allow for software-based decoding on non-Maevex devices. At DSE 2014 digital signage integrators will discover how they can take advantage of Maevex’s high MTBF and fanless design to create low maintenance point-to-multipoint installations as well as encode/stream solutions where digital signage players do the decoding. Maevex units come bundled with Matrox PowerStream™ software, allowing for easy remote management of Maevex devices and enabling a wide variety of user-defined stream-management features including unicast and multicast networking.

Video Wall Controller Boards
Matrox Mura MPX Series video wall controller boards feature flexible inputs and high-quality outputs allowing integrators to easily and cost-effectively build custom video walls of almost any size using a single high-density controller system. Matrox and third-party software options include simple control from Android™ and iPad® devices and easy integration with existing controller systems. At DSE 2014, digital signage integrators are invited to witness a demonstration of rich transitions and eye-catching effects applied to both recorded and live content using the latest Mura Network API. Integrators will soon be able to use software from Matrox partners to blend existing signage content with content from other sources to create attention-grabbing video walls.

External Multi-Display Adapters
Matrox DualHead2Go and TripleHead2Go external multi-display adapters let users add two or three monitors to a small player PC or desktop computer that does not have an expansion slot for a multi-display graphics card. They connect to the video output of the system and use its existing GPU to provide high quality, uncompressed graphics and video across all monitors. The DSE 2014 demonstration will show interactive multi-touch performance across the multiple screens for use in interactive kiosks, way finding, retail and exhibit display walls, as well as collaborative multi-panel classroom, boardroom, and command & control installations.
