NEW YORK, NEW YORK – AUGUST 2011: “I work too many hours,” laughed Ariel Borujow, chief recording and mix engineer at New York City’s now-famous Stadium Red studios. With fifteen years spent in front of the monitors, Borujow has worked with Kanye West, The Black Eyed Peas, Faith Evans, J-Lo, and countless others. His efforts, coupled with his knack for transforming whatever crosses his path into aural magic, have earned the young engineer multiple platinum albums and a Grammy nomination. Nevertheless, Borujow is hardly content to rest on his laurels. Although he does sometimes take a day off, putting in a six-day week instead of his usual seven, on the days he does work, it’s never less than ten hours. And if there’s ever a dip in the frenzy at Stadium Red, Borujow puts in time at his moonlighting gig, delivering mixes for Fox broadcasting. With deadlines looming and a more

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA – AUGUST 2011: BeatBox is San Francisco’s newest venue for live music, dance parties, performances, art exhibits, meetings, and community events. Although its patrons expect great music in hip and comfortable surroundings, it’s a safe bet that no one has higher expectations than BeatBox’ three creators: Andy Zivic, Paul Saccone and Tchukon Shanks. Their vision for BeatBox is inspiring. They had two guiding principals: deliver a new experience each time a guest visits and provide audiophile quality sound that the other clubs couldn’t match. As everything is modular, the former warehouse space can take on radically different moods and configurations from night to night. And to fulfill their commitment to audiophile sound, they chose Danley gear. Indeed, BeatBox is the first club on the West Coast to feature Danley Sound Labs loudspeakers and subwoofers, which deliver an incomparably richer sonic experience – from the lowest lows to more

BUENA PARK, Calif.—Boulevard Professional (Oradell, N.J.) recently installed a NEXO GEO S12 line array system along with Yamaha LS9-32 and SB168-ES Stage Box at the Goodwill Church in Montgomery, New York. Several years ago, the company was called in to design and install a state-of-the-art sound system for a new worship space. Unexpectedly, funding was cut and it appeared the installation would be placed on the back burner. In a successful fund raising mission by members of church, the goal required to purchase and install a new system had been met, and by the fall of last year, work had begun.

The 700-seat contemporary church has a diverse, active congregation with 1,000 in attendance each week. A full band and six vocalists accompany the sermons. “It was very apparent early on that a new system for Goodwill Church would not just be for spoken word,? states James Cioffi, more
