Adaptive Video Walls and Displays Introduces New Video Solutions at InfoComm 2012

New Products Include Single-Monitor Suspension; Mounted and Flown Video Walls

LAS VEGAS, JUNE 12, 2012 – Adaptive Video Walls and Displays, a
division of Adaptive Technologies Group and the premier provider of innovative wall-mountable, floor-standing, interlocking and flyable video wall frames for multiple LCD, LED and plasma monitors, will debut at InfoComm 2012 (Booth C9547) several new video solutions, including its HoverPro(tm) single-LCD monitor suspension device, a 3×3 Flown Video Wall, a 4×1 Flown Quad Display, and 1×4 and 2×2 Mounted Video Walls.

“We are excited to share with InfoComm attendees several new video products at this year’s show,” says Paul Allen, president, Adaptive Technologies Group. “InfoComm is the perfect avenue to get the word out about Adaptive’s wide range of video solutions and the ease of installation that contractors get in the field when they use our gear.”

The HoverPro is a single LCD monitor suspension device that delivers visual messages and content anywhere marketers want without the limitations of wall mounting and/or expensive kiosks. Messages are permanently displayed above and in front of indoor target audiences by suspending and aiming 40-inch and larger LCD and plasma screens from any overhead structure. As a pre-engineered rigging system, HoverPro utilizes the standard rear VESA-mounting hole patterns built into flat screen monitors. These rigging kits provide installers with the ability to safely suspend and tilt screens into any desired angle, from any location. Down-tilt aiming is accomplished by way of suspending the monitors from the HoverPro brackets’ multiple suspension points. An optional horizontal aiming device, the One-Way-Array(r), may be installed in line, above the HoverPro, to provide up to 360 degrees of aiming rotation. Additionally, a wide variety of standard off-the-shelf rigging hardware is available to allow the installer to safely assemble and “hover” the LCD or plasma monitor at any desired height and angle above an audience, store traffic and window fronts.

The new 3×3 Flown Video Wall will be shown in a landscape configuration using Sharp PN-V601 60-inch LCD monitors, accommodating three monitors wide and three monitors deep. This incredibly precise and load-rated flyable frame can interlock to create large format and very impressive displays. Its adjustable monitor levelers ensure that all monitors are in the correct planar alignment and are domestically produced. The load-rated rigging components ensure long service life, even for rental and staging applications.

The new 4×1 Flown Quad display, also available in landscape configuration, features NEC 55-inch monitors flown in a horizontal square pattern, utilizing Adaptive’s GridLink(tm) rigging system, with four monitors wide and one monitor deep. Adaptive’s rugged and load-rated GridLink rigging beams quickly arrange into square, rectangular and hexagonal-shaped grids that provide an excellent platform to fly monitors, creating attention-getting, long-lasting impressions. Adaptive’s line of flown displays feature load-rated frames, rigging beams and accessory attachments, allowing the user to create and fly full landscape and portrait displays in any desired configuration.

Adaptive is also introducing two new mounted video wall solutions at InfoComm, including its 2×2 Mounted Video Wall with four ViewSonic 46-inch monitors. In addition, its innovative 1×4 Mounted Video Wall with 46-inch NEC monitors will be on display, which is especially geared toward the retail environment. Designed as entire assemblies, rather than individual wall mounts, Adaptive’s line of video wall frames are extremely time-saving and built to very close tolerances to get the best fit between monitors. Adaptive Video Walls also feature monitor locks and compartments for media players and other electronic devices, providing a flexible and reliable solution for any indoor application.

Small Tree will feature STREAMS Counter, a storage system performance application utility, at Infocomm 2012 (C5654 – Technologies for Worship pavilion). Free to download on Small Tree’s website at www.small-tree.com, STREAMS Counter provides creative professionals with real-time server performance data. The performance application has been enhanced since its initial introduction earlier this year.

STREAMS Counter is a shared storage system performance application utility testing the number of video streams properly supported in real-time editing environment. Small Tree will provide a demonstration of the app’s capabilities to visitors attending Infocomm 2012 in Las Vegas.

“There are several considerations that go into architecting a high performance shared storage solution that provides the expected performance for post-production workflows and nothing is more frustrating than having a post project delayed by slow rendering speeds or dropped frames,” said Corky Seeber, president of Small Tree. “Our easy-to-use performance application utility will give post facility operators critical information to determine whether they need to consider another storage solution or if what they’re currently using meets their workflow needs.”

Sennheiser enhances guided tour offerings with Tourguide 1039 system

Las Vegas – June 11, 2012 – Audio specialist Sennheiser [InfoComm 2012 booth C9736] introduces its new Tourguide 1039 system for guided tour, interpreting and assistive listening applications. Users of this new professional receiver will benefit from reliable RF wireless transmission, easy operation and exceptional audio quality.

Reliable transmission
“Today, professional users are faced with expanding content demands in an increasingly crowded wireless environment. To meet this challenge, Tourguide 1039 offers the widest tuning bandwidth on the market,” explained Vanessa Jensen, Senior Product Specialist for Integrated Systems at Sennheiser’s U.S. headquarters. “Tourguide 1039 offers up to 75 MHz of tunable frequencies, allowing users to transmit as many as 32 channels of simultaneous content, all with exceptional audio quality.” The Tourguide EK 1039 portable receiver utilizes Adaptive Diversity to enhance reception reliability.

High audio quality
An excellent audio frequency response of a full 25–15,000 Hz gives the receiver a very natural, high-quality sound reproduction. “Assistive listening installations in theaters or music venues will benefit from this excellent audio quality,” Jensen added.

Simple operation
Time is always an invaluable resource, especially when preparing an event or a guided tour. To streamline setup, the EK 1039 is fitted with a Copy function. Once one receiver has been programmed, its settings can easily be transmitted via infrared to the other receivers. To allow for easy recognition and assignment to the listeners, the channels of the Tourguide EK 1039 receiver can be given a name, for example, “French” or “Spanish.” This channel name is part of the data that can be copied from receiver to receiver.

To fully utilize the EK 1039’s wide switching bandwidth, transmitters from the 2000 series are the ideal complement. Transmitters from the evolution wireless G3 series are also compatible (reducing the effective switching bandwidth to 42 MHz). The EK1039 ships with the BA 2015 rechargeable battery back, but can also be powered by standard AA batteries. Thanks to a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, the EK 1039 can be used with a wide range headphones or earphones. The receiver can also be combined with Sennheiser’s induction accessories for the hearing impaired.

Complete solutions for museums, companies, theme parks and tradeshows
Tourguide 1039 joins Sennheiser’s guidePORT and Tourguide 2020-D systems, which offer customized solutions for guided tour applications. guidePORT can lead users through museums or exhibits on its own; identifiers or induction loops automatically trigger audio information that corresponds to the physical exhibit or video. The user can also access data via the keypad by entering the number of the appropriate station on the tour. Tourguide 2020-D digital audio system can be used as a tourguide or translation system for conferences or as an assistive hearing device in theaters or other facilities. Six to eight channels can be used simultaneously. The full package includes a case for charging and transporting all components.
