BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS – JULY 2011: A beloved household name in Boston, Jerry Remy is a former Red Sox second baseman and the longstanding commentator for all of his former team’s games. Last year, he partnered with the Cronin Group Restaurants to create Jerry Remy’s Sports Bar & Grill just outside of historic Fenway Park. The venture was so successful that the group recently opened a second location at Liberty Wharf on Boston Harbor. An adjacent public dock with fifty slips allows patrons to arrive by land or by sea. RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOTA: In addition to providing a top-tier education to 2,300 students, the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, or “Mines” for short, provides the venue for the Rapid City Area Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Crackerbarrel sessions. They allow the public to voice its concerns and ideas with the local governing bodies. The Crackerbarrel sessions and several of the Mines’ larger lecture classes take place in the main auditorium of the New Classroom Building. Built in the mid-1990s, the auditorium seats seven hundred in a pie-shaped, multi-tiered room that can be divided via an air-wall into two 350-seat rooms. After two failed attempts to supply the large room with an intelligible, easy-to-use sound reinforcement system, local A/V integrator Haggerty’s Audio Visual supplied the master stroke. The new system centers on Symetrix’ new Jupiter “zero learning curve” processor with a pair of Symetrix ARC-2 wall panel remotes that more

BANGKOK, THAILAND: The Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand is home to the country’s Ministry of Defense, in addition to the upper echelon from each of the military’s three branches. Although office space occupies most of the building, a number of boardrooms, conference and war rooms require first-rate sound reinforcement. Recently, the Ministry called on Thai AV Systems contractor Fuzion Far East, well-respected not only for flawless designs but also for tremendous after-sale service, to improve the sound quality in the building’s function room. Fuzion Far East director Siri Wongkamolchun relied on a Symetrix Jupiter 8 “zero learning curve” signal processor to deliver stellar quality and functionality with minimal setup time and at a very competitive price.

TROY, ALABAMA: Located in southeastern Alabama, Veterans Memorial Stadium is home to the Troy University Trojans. Over the decades, a progression of additions and upgrades raised it up from a glorified grandstand to its current capacity of 30,000 fans. Ever on the lookout for improvements, the school contracted A/V provider, All Pro Sound of Pensacola Florida, who recently revamped the stadium’s sound system with Danley’s Jericho Horn, the JH-90 (a.k.a. the J1). The sound system went from great to fantastic, and now delivers reference-monitor fidelity to every seat in the horseshoe-shaped bowl at 6 dB over the previous system using just a single JH-90 that is positioned behind the upper portion of the scoreboard!

Partly as a consequence of its history, Veterans Memorial Stadium has a few unique features that affected the design of its sound system. Most notably, its scoreboard more
