(Woodbury, New York –June 13, 2008) Crestron® today announced that Lencore Acoustics Corp, a leading manufacturer of sound masking technologies, has joined the Crestron® Integrated Partner Program, providing its dealers with an intelligent sound masking, paging and music system for fully integrated control systems. The advanced Lencore Sound Masking system, along with the Spectra i.Net™ module, allows Crestron® dealers to easily install active functionality in Lencore’s Spectra i.Net™ system and create control features. Lencore Acoustics Corp. develops and deploys proven, high-performance sound masking, paging and music solutions worldwide. Lencore’s Spectra i.Net™ system revolutionizes the standard for quality and adjustment capabilities for sound masking systems. Sound masking is used to minimize distractions and improve speech privacy in the workplace. The masking sound is subtly introduced into an office environment through speakers typically installed in the plenum and gently raises the background sound levels within the environment to help mask extraneous conversations and limit the amount of distraction that office occupants hear. Sound masking increases the privacy in open and closed work areas to increase employee privacy and reduce noise induced stress in typical work environments.
“Sound masking is a rapidly growing segment within the buildings industry and an incredibly economic way of meeting stringent government mandated noise requirements in work places, most, if not all, Fortune 500 companies are very concerned with the impact on both privacy and productivity loss due to noise in the workplace. Lencore is committed to providing best in class technology and products that are integral to sound masking, paging and music solutions,” said Jonathan Leonard, Lencore’s Vice-President. “Our partnership with a leader in control solutions such as Crestron® broadens our vertical market opportunities for sound masking, paging and music solutions and will provide Crestron® customers with superior products for the office environment.”
“We welcome Lencore Acoustics Corp. to the Integrated Partner Program and are excited about the new opportunities this partnership presents to our dealers,” said Chris Wildfoerster, Director of Business Development, Crestron®. “The addition of this Spectra i.Net™ module enables our dealers to realize the power and versatility of Lencore’s product line and capitalize on the momentum of this fast growing technology.”

However if they were in the mood to play it loud, it had to have the muscle of a high performance system. more
