Leading Technologies SRL Equips Radio Toscana With Second HARMAN Studer OnAir 2500

Radio Toscana, the Adult Contemporary regional music station, has taken delivery of a second HARMAN Studer OnAir 2500 digital console. The order for the all-in-one desk was placed with Leading Technologies SRL (formerly A&DT/APG), who has worked closely with the Florence-based station (which looks out at the famous Duomo) over the past decade.

The network, which already boasts Soundcraft RM105 and Series 15 desks, carried out a studio upgrade in 2009 with the conversion to complete digital transmission carried out by studio concept specialists, Acoustic Design. As part of that fit-out Radio Toscana purchased its first OnAir 2500, but with the recent building of a second dedicated room, an additional 12-fader OnAir 2500 was installed.

“The first time around Radio Toscana evaluated the console for quality — and also for distributor support,? explained Leading Technologies’ sales specialist, Fiore Confuorto. “They really liked the all-in-one and compact structure of more

Just in time for the Royal Wedding later this month, Westminster Abbey recently commissioned the installation of new speech reinforcement, induction loop and CCTV systems, along with ancillary video, audio and data distribution facilities.

The new systems were designed and specified by Audio & Video Systems Consultants, Michael Hyland & Associates, the project needing to be completed ahead of the thanksgiving service which marked the 450th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth granting a Royal Charter to The Abbey in 1560, not to mention the Royal Wedding.

The upgrade and changeover was implemented so there was no impact whatever on the building’s daily services and various other events for which The Abbey is used. Equally, steps were taken to ensure that the work did not infringe on the many visitors who tour The Abbey daily. Furthermore, given the tight timescale, extensive workshop testing of the system racks was more
