Story Sound Takes HARMAN JBL VERTEC® Subcompact Line Arrays on Tour With Royal Netherlands Air Force Orchestra

Netherlands-based Story Sound has embarked on a theater tour with the Royal Netherlands Air Force Orchestra, using a HARMAN JBL VERTEC® subcompact line array system. According to Michael Story, who owns the rental company with his brother Egbert, the system is perfect for the sub-1,000-seat capacity venues the Orchestra will be playing at between February and May to present its themed orchestral music program, “Tribute To Michael Jackson.?

Although the company has worked with JBL loudspeakers for its top-tier client projects for many years, the VERTEC subcompact line arrays had not been released in time for use on last year’s Orchestra tour. However, as soon as the system was available, Michael Story couldn’t wait to use it. “We tested the new VERTEC subcompact line arrays against numerous other systems,? he noted. “They won hands-down due to their power, fidelity and sonic clarity.?

Westminster Abbey Reinforces Choir With OmniLine Array

omniline-web.jpg

Just in time for the Royal Wedding later this month, Westminster Abbey recently commissioned the installation of new speech reinforcement, induction loop and CCTV systems, along with ancillary video, audio and data distribution facilities.

The new systems were designed and specified by Audio & Video Systems Consultants, Michael Hyland & Associates, the project needing to be completed ahead of the thanksgiving service which marked the 450th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth granting a Royal Charter to The Abbey in 1560, not to mention the Royal Wedding.

The upgrade and changeover was implemented so there was no impact whatever on the building’s daily services and various other events for which The Abbey is used. Equally, steps were taken to ensure that the work did not infringe on the many visitors who tour The Abbey daily. Furthermore, given the tight timescale, extensive workshop testing of the system racks was more

Ozark Henry Tours With Two HARMAN Soundcraft Vi Consoles in Bespoke Design

Two experienced and respected Belgian sound engineers are currently taking their first ride on Soundcraft’s Vi platform and loving every minute of it.

Which is just as well, since the band Ozark Henry (which is also the stage name of founder Piet Goddaer) will be touring arenas up to 6,000 capacity in Germany and Benelux through the spring and early summer before playing a major part in Europe’s burgeoning festival scene — and finally continuing through 30-40 Benelux theatre dates in the Autumn.
