RTÉ Radio Adds Its 19th Studer OnAir 3000

When Ireland’s national broadcaster, RTÉ Radio upgraded its Studio 10 sports studio recently, it took the network’s tally of Studer OnAir 3000 digital consoles to 19. While 10 are located in the main RTE campus, one occupies an RTE studio in a nearby shopping centre, and the other eight are distributed over five regional studio centres.

The broadcaster’s relationship with Studer extends back many years to the A80 tape machines, which were in use in RTÉ Radio for many years, and over the past six years they have systematically upgraded all the main radio studios, replacing various analogue consoles with the OnAir 3000 series — Studio 10 being the last in line.

Studer Vista 9 and Soundcraft Vi1 Digital Consoles to be Installed in Moscow Conservatory’s Great Hall

As part of its current restoration, the Moscow Conservatory has purchased a Studer Vista 9 digital console for recording, post-production and broadcast from its Great Hall, as well as a Soundcraft Vi1 digital console for multipurpose use, including at front of house when required.

ESCO Communications Upgrades Audio System at University of Notre Dame Purcell Pavilion With JBL Loudspeakers

As part of a $24.7 million renovation to the home of University of Notre Dame basketball and volleyball, ESCO Communications, Inc. recently completed a JBL loudspeaker system installation in the Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center in South Bend, Indiana. The nearly 10,000-seat arena, which opened its doors in 1968, is now a state-of-the-art facility for all of the student-athletes and fans to enjoy.

ESCO installed 16 JBL PD5322/95 full-range loudspeakers, eight PD5125 low-frequency loudspeakers and 12 ASB6128 high-power subwoofers for the main system, with five AC18 2-way loudspeakers for club level seating, eight AM5212/64 2-way loudspeakers and an additional four AC18’s for the scoreboard and VRX928 small-scale constant curvature line array loudspeakers for various performances.
