ORLANDO, Florida – Offering a wealth of new features for VERTEC® system users, HARMAN’s JBL Professional announces the release of the latest upgrade to its VERTEC Line Array Calculator II Software, V 1.1

Enabling the simulation of mixed-model arrays from the entire range of VERTEC enclosures, V 1.1 of the Line Array Calculator II (LAC II) V 1.1 retains much of the same appearance and functionality of the V 1.0 version that users have become familiar with, while offering a variety of new features. For example, with LAC II V 1.1, new VERTEC subcompact line array accessories (VT4886-SF, VT4886-DF88, VT4886-DF89) are included, and parametric EQ (compatible with JBL DrivePack®, Crown Audio I-Tech/I-Tech HD and dbx 4800) is introduced. more

ORLANDO, Florida — Delivering a new standard for professional audio components to the international market, HARMAN’s Selenium debuts its latest midbass and woofer W16P series in the United States at InfoComm 2011. Selenium’s 6W16P 6-inch midbass, 8W16P 8-inch and 10W16P 10-inch woofers reproduce sound with high fidelity and great efficiency for the ultimate audio performance.

Available in eight and sixteen ohms (Ω), the W16P series is constructed with an aluminum frame and aluminum-wire voice coil, a non-pressed long fiber cellulose cone, cloth surround and push-on terminals. HARMAN’s Studer Consoles and JBL Professional Loudspeakers Have Starring Role at 65th Annual Tony Awards

NEW YORK, New York – On Broadway’s biggest night, New York City’s Beacon Theatre lit up with celebrities and eager fans while hosting the top theatrical performers and acts of the year at the 65th Annual Tony Awards. L-ACOUSTICS KARAi at Home in Jesus House

LONDON — SFL Group has carried out the first UK install of the L-ACOUSTICS KARAi modular WST line source system for permanent installation at Jesus House, a 2,000-capacity church in North London owned by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

SFL Group chose the system because, according to technical director Mark Payne, “It presents a significant saving for the customer as the boxes don’t have fixed touring rigging, which isn’t necessary in a fixed installation. As an installation product it looks really neat; I’m very pleased with it and so is the customer, it sounds absolutely phenomenal. more
