ROCKLEIGH, NJ, July 30, 2009 – Crestron has released an HDMI-over-fiber transmitter and receiver pair that provides a remarkably powerful, easy to install solution for extending uncompressed HDMI and IR/RS-232 control signals up to 1000 feet over a single multimode fiber connection. Jonathan Goldstein Chooses Cameron Yeary For Video Content On Kid Cudi Tour

CudiAlthough Cleveland-based rising rap/hip hop star Kid Cudi doesn’t even have an album out yet, he has kicked off his first tour, which he headlines with Asher Roth. The show was designed by Jonathan Goldstein of Starlight Visual. He brought in Cameron Yeary of UVLD for media design and programming.

“Jon and I met in 2004 when he was touring with Donna Summer, and we’ve stayed in touch,” says Yeary. “The video media developer who works with Jay Z recommended that we partner on this project.” Kid Cudi’s tour runs four weeks, from mid-July to mid-August, playing intimate venues with a surprisingly large production. The tour, with content based on his hit single, “Day ‘N Nite,” along with mix tapes and Internet buzz, began in Boston at House of Blues and wraps in Chicago at Lollapalooza.

Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems Appoints Kimmel as Mixer Product Manager

In his new position, Kimmel will be responsible for product training, the implementation of marketing and support programs, and recommendations for mixing console product design from the North American market to the research and development team in Japan. He will report to Marc Lopez, marketing manager, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc.

For three decades, Kimmel has been an audio mixer, system designer, recording engineer, and most recently held the position of Assistant Technical Director at Disneyland. He was also monitor engineer for Tower of Power’s “Soul Vaccination Tour? and was the front of house engineer for Luis Miguel’s “Aries” and “Segundo Romance” world tours.
