Northbrook Theater’s Youth Shows Deliver Memorable Performances With AKG DMS 700 Professional Digital Wireless System

In a fixed installation that demonstrates the reliability and versatility of AKG’s wireless systems, the Northbrook Theater in Northbrook, IL, selected the AKG DMS 700 to play a role in all 12 annual productions held there. The 300-seat theater upgraded to the DMS 700 last month, selecting an array of AKG equipment that included 12 DSR 700 receivers, 10 CK 77 Microphones, and 25 DPT 700 bodypacks.

The theater will be using AKG’s digital wireless system to drive a series of performances put on by youth, for youth. Performing Arts Supervisor Kurt Ottinger needed a system that came complete with battery life indicators on all receivers, frequency scanning with error indicators and the ability to synchronize receivers with the transmitters. The first Sound 411, a two-day informational event designed to bring together sound professionals and students in New York City with leaders in the sound hardware and software industry, was an unqualified success for organizer Stage Research, Inc. NSCA Expands List of Approved Courses for Recertification

Kramer Electronics, Termark Technical Institute Join Partner Provider Program

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA, August 19, 2009 – Kramer Electronics and Termark Technical Institute were recently approved as NSCA Partner Providers, a program that awards NSCA Learning Units (LUs) to pre-approved manufacturer training courses for industry members looking to obtain the NSCA Certificate of Completion or to renew the EST-L2 certification. These new partners increase the number of industry courses that qualify for LUs to nearly 90, in addition to NSCA courses online and regionally throughout the year.
