InfoComm to Conduct Lunch & Learn Using Listen Technologies Portable FM Systems

Listen Technologies Corporation is pleased to announce sponsorship of the InfoComm Lunch and Learn program via an in-kind donation of its Portable FM Systems.

Listen’s Portable FM products are an ideal solution for facilitating tours in factories and museums. Or, as will be the case for InfoComm’s Lunch and Learn program, for participants to see facilities where leading edge technology has been implemented.

At the most recent Lunch and Learn attendees enjoyed a tour of the new Gaylord Resort located on 42 acres on the banks of the Potomac River in Prince George’s County. The new conferencing facility includes presentation systems, videoconferencing suites, audio conferencing and digital signage.

“We were expecting multiple groups of fifty to sixty people for each Lunch & Learn, and the noisy, dynamic environment makes it a challenge to keep everyone together as well making sure our guests can hear the tour guide,? noted Cheryl Regan of InfoComm. “We have used the Listen system before and know that it is easy to use and it works well for this kind of situation.?

The Listen Tour Group System includes an LT-700 Portable Transmitter with a microphone that allows the tour guide to speak in a normal tone of voice thus eliminating voice strain and yelling. Each guest is provided with an LR-400 Portable Digital Display FM Receiver and an LA-164 Ear Speaker. With a transmission range of 150 feet, guests don’t have to crowd together or push to the front to hear the presentation.

“So often in our industry we plan and prepare for showcasing our technology visually, and often miss how critical it can be to hear the message of what is being shown, said Cory Schaeffer, vice president of sales & marketing at Listen. “Listen applauds InfoComm for recognizing the importance of making sure their guests will clearly hear what is being said, even in the noisiest of environments .?
