SYLMAR, Calif. — Aug. 5, 2008 — DNF Controls today announced that sister stations WFTV channel 9 and WRDQ TV 27, in Orlando, Fla., are using three Universal Switch Panels (USPs) at their shared television studios to provide clear, reliable control over microphones’ on/off function during news production. ABC affiliate WFTV and independent station WRDQ have deployed two USP-8 systems and one USP-16 from DNF Controls to complement the installation of a new automated newscast production system. more

SAN DIEGO — Aug. 4, 2008 — Broadcast systems integrator TV Magic has completed an A/V installation for the new city council chambers in the City of Aliso Viejo, Calif., providing audio, video, and control systems for use at city council meetings. The new digital equipment replaces a simple microphone and tape recorder setup previously used by the city during sessions held every other week. more

Christie projectors are playing a key role in festivities marking the 400th anniversary of the city of Quebec, the birthplace of French civilization in North America and a UNESCO World Heritage site. From June 20 to August 24 Christie will participate in The Image Mill (Le Moulin à Images) – a sound and image spectacular created by Robert Lepage and Ex Machina. The Image Mill will recount the history of the city with what is believed to be the world’s largest video projection. more
