St Louis-based Production Consultants has become the latest high-profile studio to invest in Fairlight’s powerful Xynergi Media Production Centre.

The studio was set up in 1986 and is owned and run by award-winning audio expert Bill Schulenburg, whose long and impressive CV covers four decades in the industry and includes working with artists like Stevie Nicks and Manfred Mann; designing and editing sound and pictures for a huge variety of hundreds of TV, radio, videogame, film, theatre and audiobook projects; teaching Audio Aesthetics as an adjunct professor at Webster University; working as a popular voiceover artist; and last, but not least, currently serving as Chairman of the St. Louis Section of the Audio Engineering Society. more

University Theatre Updates Audio System with Yamaha

Installation assistance was provided by Wavetech Sound & Lighting located in Southern Alberta. The University boasts one of the fastest-growing post-secondary student populations in Canada with more than 8,000 students from 62 countries – one of the most geographically diverse student populations in Alberta. After selecting Coemar lighting fixtures for alternative/funk party band 311’s 2008 and 2009 tours, lighting designer/director Joe Paradise once again chose a complement of Coemar Infinity XLs and ACLs for the band’s much-anticipated 2010 311 Day Concert.

The biennial event, which celebrates the band and salutes fans worldwide, was held at the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas on March 11. The five-hour communal concert began in 2000 and has become a 311 tradition; this year fans could also tune into a live webcast. more
