The new design changes both hardware and firmware by adding an extended display identification data (EDID) mode select function. The increased functionality of the HS-44M Plus, HS-66M Plus, and HS-88M Plus allows users to choose between DVI 1920×1200, HDMI 2-channel, and HDMI multichannel EDID to ensure compatibility with up to eight different displays.
