Panamax/Furman to Offer Free Home Theater Power and Energy Management Training Sessions at CEDIA EXPO 2011

PETALUMA, Calif. — Aug. 24, 2011 — Panamax/Furman today announced that the company will be offering two free 90-minute training sessions at CEDIA EXPO 2011. Providing a continuing education unit (CEU) value of 0.75, the presentations will explore the use and integration of multiple power and energy management products, including Panamax/Furman’s BlueBOLT(R) platform. Manufacturers Co-Sponsor Worship Seminar in Ridgecrest, NC

BUENA PARK, Calif.—Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. along with Yamaha Corporation of America, Shure, ProPresenter, and Elation Lighting will hold a Worship Arts Technology Summit (WATS) September 8-10 at the Ridgecrest Christian Conference Center in Ridgecrest, North Carolina.

Session Tracks to take place include Musician, Audio, Vocal, Lighting, and Media. Master audio engineer, John Mills, who has worked with such artists as Chris Tomlin, Israel Houghton, Lincoln Brewster, and Kenny Chesney, will lead the audio presentations.

The WATS Seminars are open to all worship team members. The training schedule has been reformatted to allow for a two-day event so that attendees have ample opportunity to attend one or both days. White Mark’s David Bell Is Honoured By LIPA

Renowned acoustician David Bell has been conferred the title of LIPA Companion by the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, which announced the honour at its graduation day on Friday 29th July, 2011.

Bell, who is a founding director of UK studio design consultancy White Mark Ltd, graduated from Birmingham University with an honours degree in Physics. His career in the sound technology industry began at EMI where he worked on the earliest digital audio projects, culminating in the release of EMI’s first digitally mastered records for the LSO and John Williams’ band Sky. He has also worked for the BBC, where he helped specify and design the Corporation’s first digital production facilities, and Solid State Logic, where he worked on algorithm development and control surface programming language creation. New York—Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems will hold “Four Days of Training? on August 9-12 at Manhattan Center Studios, 311 West 34th St. (between 8th & 9Th Ave.) in New York City. Free of charge and open to all audio professionals, the Yamaha “Four Days of Training? is a unique opportunity to experience hands-on demos and training on Yamaha and NEXO products.

Gordon College to Host NEXO Seminar

BUENA PARK, Calif.—Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc., in conjunction with Gordon College and its Chapel in Wenham, Massachusetts will host a NEXO seminar on Wednesday, July 27.
