Custom Installers can now Expand IntelliControl ICS Systems to Support Multiple Home Theaters

Niles Audio Corporation, The First Name In Custom Installation®, announced today that its award-winning IntelliControl ICS system now offers dealers the ability to configure multiple home theaters within a system thanks to a significant update to its IntelliFile3 Software Build. The latest IntelliControl ICS software update allows Niles Home Theater Main System Units (HT-MSU) to be assigned to specific audio zones of a connected GXR2 Modular MultiZone Receiver, creating a new “Theater Zone.” This will enable custom installers to route all connected GXR2 sources to a home theater receiver over a single stereo RCA cable. IntelliControl ICS’ updated system architecture supports up to 30 audio/video zones, including up to four “Theater Zones,” while offering end-users reliable and intuitive control options such as the iRemoteTS. Rightway Audio Upgrades Surround Sound TV Theatre With L-ACOUSTICS dV-DOSC And XT

FUZHOU, Fujian, China — L-ACOUSTICS’ Chinese distributor Rightway Audio has supplied the Fujian Broadcasting and TV Center with a dV-DOSC sound reinforcement system for its multi-functional studio theatre. Extron Introduces New USB Extender

Extron Electronics is pleased to introduce the USB Extender, a two-piece transmitter and receiver set for extending USB up to 450 feet (135 meters) on a single, standard CAT 5/5e/6 or CAT 7 cable. The USB Extender is compatible with USB 1.0, 1.1, or 2.0 and includes a four port hub supporting simultaneous connection of up to four USB devices. The USB Extender is ideal for use in applications utilizing the Extron Annotator and remote touchscreen displays, as well as for applications that require the remote location of USB peripherals such as interactive whiteboards, keyboards, mice, and other HID-human input devices. DANLEY SH-50s PROVIDE STUNNING PATTERN CONTROL AND ARTICULATION FOR ST. JOHN BAPTIST CHURCH

COLUMBIA, MARYLAND – FEBRUARY 2010: St. John Baptist Church (SJBC) in Columbia, Maryland recently completed construction of a wonderful new sanctuary on a recently-acquired forty-acre tract of land. The new building sits just over a mile from SJBC’s previous location and contains all of the amenities that the church has longed for in its nearly forty-year journey from start-up to establishment. Included in that wish list is a wonderfully articulated sound system centered on four Danley SH-50 full-range loudspeakers that evenly blanket the fan-shaped room without appreciably exciting the walls or ceiling. Neil Shade of Acoustical Design Collaborative designed the system, and Baltimore’s HP Electronics installed it, with oversight from Joe Schwartz.

Shade designed SJBC’s new system as an exploded cluster of four separate hangs. Room treatments, including wall and ceiling panels, helped tone down the sonic effect of the drywall that formed the basic structure of the walls, (more…)
