FOX8 WGHP PURCHASES 16 JVC GY-HM700 PROHD CAMCORDERS FOR LOCAL NEWS

WAYNE, NJ (March 23, 2010) — JVC Professional Products, a division of JVC U.S.A., today announced that WGHP-TV in High Point, N.C., which serves the Greensboro/High Point/Winston-Salem market (DMA #46), purchased 16 GY-HM700ULL LoLux cameras. Two of the ENG cameras are outfitted with Canon 20x zoom lenses, while 14 are paired with Canon 14x zoom lenses. Owned and operated by Local TV LLC, the FOX affiliate began broadcasting its local FOX8 News in widescreen last September, and is expected to upgrade to a full HD newscast. (more…)

Stage Research will unveil an important new feature for its RF Guru product at the 2010 USITT (United States Institute for Theatre Technology) Conference & Stage Expo in Kansas City, Missouri, March 30-April 3. The upgrade has been developed in collaboration with Lectrosonics, which will be sharing the Stage Research booth at the show.

RF Guru is a coordination tool targeted to anyone dealing with wireless microphones. Designed to find the best combination of wireless mic frequencies to be used at a venue and alleviate intermod (i.e., interference) problems, it calculates based on existing mics, area TV stations, user-entered known bad frequencies and even mic data from nearby neighboring venues. “People tell us RF Guru is what they’ve been waiting for,” says Stage Research cofounder Carlton Guc. K-array Loudspeakers and Sennheiser Microphones Bedazzle Audiences with Outstanding Performances during SXSW Music Festival

Austin, TX, March 22, 2010 – Audio specialist Sennheiser provided spectacular sound for a diverse range of artists during the SXSW Music Festival as its microphones and wireless transmitters—as well as the revolutionary loudspeakers from distributed brand K-array—were put through the paces over the course of the three-day event. Sennheiser sponsored busy stages at the PureVolume House, Maggie Mae’s and Speakeasy–each located at the heart of Austin’s music scene.

The stage at PureVolume House featured a set of the K-array Redline KR200s loudspeakers, which deliver ‘no compromise sound’ within an astonishingly small footprint. Artists were also provided with a Sennheiser SKM 2000 wireless handheld transmitter with MMD 935-1 capsule and a full complement of evolution microphones for reinforcing guitars, drums and other instruments. Similar equipment was used during performances at Maggie Mae’s and Speakeasy.
