Manager for the DSP and Amplifier Group. Seable comes to YCAS from Disney where for many years, he held the position of Head of Audio for the Hyperion Theater at California Adventure in Disneyland. His additional experience includes mixing Broadway musicals, large tours, and television as well as theatre and studio installations. “With much of our focus on DSP products and our new amplifiers, it was imperative that we hire a dedicated product manager to support these efforts,” states Marc Lopez, marketing manager. “Steve‘s background and experience in the installation and live sound markets is a perfect fit with our requirements,” adds Lopez. As a new $40 million dollar theater complex that brings a dream to fruition for area arts supporters, The Gallo Center For The Arts has two performance venues to satisfy a wide range of performances. The Mary Stuart Rogers Theater is the larger of the two with 1,250 seats, while the Foster Family Theater has a capacity of 444 seats. Owned by Modesto County, the facility was financed by private donations. It is a regional facility that is home to the Modesto Symphony and will serve as a multi-purpose center for a broad range of entertainment. The show may have been called “Clash of the Choirs” but it was all sweet music with the grandMA controlling the lighting for the new NBC series. A.C.T Lighting is the exclusive distributor of the grandMA in North America.
“Clash of the Choirs” featured five music celebrities — Nick Lachey, Patti LaBelle, Blake Shelton, Michael Bolton and Kelly Rowland — who assembled amateur choirs in their hometowns. The choirs performed on four consecutive nights in the week leading up to Christmas with viewers eliminating groups as the nights wore on. Lachey‘s Cincinnati-based choir emerged the winner taking home $250,000 for the Cincinnati Children‘s Hospital. (more…)
