VIENNA, Virginia – November 2007 — A new Soundcraft Vi6™ digital live sound console has been installed at The Barns at Wolf Trap in time for the winter concert season, which runs annually from early October through May. The audio system at the 382-seat indoor venue, located close to Washington DC at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, was revamped in 2005 with a JBL VerTec line array system, Crown amplifiers, BSS Audio Omnidrive processing and AKG microphones. Prism Sound has supplied a dScope Series III audio analyzer to GEM UK Ltd, a Gloucestershire-based company that specialises in the offshore manufacture and assembly of Printed Circuit Boards.
The unit was ordered at the behest of one of GEM UK‘s clients and is now in China where it is being used for production testing.
Clive Meadows, sales manager for GEM UK, says: “Our client specified two audio test products that would be suitable for this project and we chose the Prism Sound unit on the basis of cost and the breadth of features offered. It is being used in testing and calibration of top end audio equipment and is performing very well.” (more…)

Houston, TX A new RTS ADAM matrix system installation at the City of Houston Emergency Operations Center has raised the bar for mission critical communications in EOC applications. The heart of a supremely flexible and user-friendly intercom system that links the Houston EOC with all appropriate city, regional and federal departments and agencies, the ADAM system was supplied and installed by Bill McKee of Broadcast Technical Services, with manufacturer support from Britt Bowers of Telex RTS.
