Lexicon® Releases 64-bit Windows and Mac PowerPC Drivers For The I·ONIX Series of USB 2.0 Desktop Recording Interfaces

Lexicon®, a Harman International Company (NYSE-HAR), today announced it has released new Windows and Mac software drivers for the I∙ONIX series of Desktop Recording Interfaces. With the new 64-bit Windows driver, these interfaces now operate seamlessly on computers running Windows 64-bit XP and Vista operating systems. The new Mac driver improves performance and now supports all Mac computers operating on OS X 10.4.9 or higher regardless of whether they are based on a PowerPC or Intel processor.

The I∙ONIX series feature newly designed dbx® microphone preamps on all analog inputs. The preamps are driven by a 60V high-voltage supply to guarantee stability and deliver superior recordings across a wide dynamic range. Ultra high-definition converters ensure pristine 24-bit/96kHz audio. The result is remarkably clear and transparent inputs that will capture every subtle detail of your performance.

Underscoring the performance and reliability of AKG conferencing systems, the highly prestigious SWX Stock Exchange selected AKG’s GN 30 E 5PIN Gooseneck Microphones, CK 31 Capsules and H 600 shock-mounts for deployment. The installation used several different loudspeaker systems strategically positioned to optimize the acoustics in the glass-walled conference room known as the “crystal palace.?

The system was completed by Erwin Herzog of Kilchenmann and used 33 AKG GN 30 E 5PIN Gooseneck microphones, 33 AKG CK 31 microphone capsules, 33 AKG H 600 shock mounts, and a retractable column with a 360-degree loudspeaker in the center of the room.

Belgium’s Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc Builds Live Surgical Teaching System on HaiVision HD Encoding Solution

MONTREAL and CHICAGO — Aug. 24, 2009 — HaiVision Network Video today announced that its hai1020™ series network video systems, equipped with the company’s low-latency MAKO-HD™ H.264 codec, are being used by Belgium’s Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc to enable live transmission of video and medical imaging from the operating room to a conference room on the opposite side of the hospital campus. The hai1020 systems installed at the Louvain-en-Woluwe campus near Brussels support bi-directional delivery of HD video with latency under 70 milliseconds, enabling visiting surgeons to interact with doctors in the operating room as they demonstrate surgical techniques. The Crestron Eagles Program was conceived by Crestron President George Feldstein to honor the service and sacrifice of our wounded warriors returning home from battle.

The Bethesda Naval Hospital is part of Wounded Warrior Battalion-East, located in the suburbs of Washington. DC. SCENIC ROAD PRODUCTIONS SELECTS FUJINON ENG-STYLE HD LENS FOR LOCATION SHOOTS

WAYNE, New Jersey – Scenic Road Productions (SRP), a video production house based in Kansas City, Mo., has selected a Fujinon XA17X7.6BRM ENG-style HD lens as part of its high definition production services for commercials, training and recruitment videos, and other promotional materials for a wide variety of clientele.

Before the official launch of SRP last fall, the Fujinon lens was part of owner Kevin Schwarzenberger’s equipment inventory. “I have a decade of shoots behind me, a large portion of which were shot using Fujinon glass,? he explained. “When I was ready to launch my business and the time came to select a high definition lens, Fujinon was already on my shopping list. Several factors made my final decision to invest in their lens very simple.?
