New Milford, CT, April 7, 2009 – Magenta Research, a recognized leader in HD-Onevideo, audio and control signal distribution and switching over structured cabling, announces the immediate availability of HD-One, an HDMI video and audio extension product that utilizes a single Cat6 cable.

HD-One is fully HDCP-compliant and capable of extending uncompressed 1080p video with audio to 150ft/46m or 1080i/720p video with audio to 200ft/61m. A plug and play device, requiring no adjustments or tuning, HD-One utilizes only a single power supply on the transmitter end, eliminating the need for an extra power outlet and cabling at the receiver end. Vitec Group’s RF Extreme Lands $2.5 Million Dollar Project With City Of Houston Police Department’s Air Wing

HOUSTON, TX – Nucomm and RF Central, part of The Vitec Group’s RF Extreme business unit, is shipping $2.5 million worth of equipment to the City of Houston as part of a Homeland Security grant. After surveying the area and establishing a design strategy to accommodate the City’s helicopter fleet, microwave downlink and receive products are being delivered in an effort to transition its law enforcement department from analog to digital. With strong support from the parent’s Boosters organization, the well known program presents three mainstage productions each year while educating scores of dedicated students in all aspects of stagecraft. The San Mateo High School drama program has been so successful, numerous graduates have gone on to find success both on Broadway and in Hollywood. With such an ambitious curriculum, it comes as no surprise that the program’s leadership would want the best possible equipment for its charges. Scharff Weisberg Lights G-Star Raw Runway Show At Fall Edition Of Fashion Week

GStarAlthough New Yorkers were distinctly feeling spring feverish it was time for Mercedes-Benz Fall 2009 Fashion Week recently where G-Star Raw showcased its Fall 2009 collection with lighting and audio support from Scharff Weisberg.

Headquartered in the Netherlands, G-Star hired Dutch company Sightline Productions to handle the technical direction for the show with New York City’s Dizon Inc. acting as the onsite production company. The star-studded runway show was held in the Hammerstein Ballroom where Scharff Weisberg was tasked with getting the rig up and working in just one day without disrupting the venue’s house rig. The lighting complement featured more than 100 moving lights. (more…)
