Martin is the Cofounder and Managing Director of Martin-Kleiser Ltd., a 14-employee custom shop that focuses on specialized sound, lighting, and communication system installs for residences and commercial spaces. Martin runs the company with Cofounder and Commercial Director Tony Kleiser. Projects Director Marcus Jackson-Baker leads the design team. Each year the London-based company completes anywhere between 30 and 40 projects of dramatically varying sizes, ranging from around £9,700 to over £430,000. (more…)
AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS, 29 January, 2008 — Demonstrating its ability to provide diverse, custom-level audio solutions with readily available off-the-shelf audio components, the Harman Pro Group today showcased a ballroom installation featuring JBL Professional VRX and SRX loudspeakers, Crown XTi and CTs amplifiers and BSS Soundweb processing at the elite Hotel Port Royal in Hamburg.
A unique aspect of the design called for JBL SRX 712M stage monitor wedges to be installed in the floor. Complementing the 712M‘s are eight 718M subwoofers with 18-inch drivers that are versatile and can be configured as part of a large subwoofer array or, as at the Port Royal, in a smaller satellite subwoofer system. The main line array system is comprised of 12 JBL VRX932LA, 12-inch two-way loudspeakers. The VRX Series Constant Curvature Line Arrays are designed and built to the same high standards and uses the same advanced driver technology as the VerTec Line Array Series used the world over in large venue concert arenas. NORTHRIDGE, CALIFORNIA, February 1, 2008 — Underscoring the performance, reliability, and pattern control of JBL Professional‘s Precision Directivity (PD) Series loudspeakers, Hercules, CA-based Pro Media/Ultrasound recently utilized these speakers to upgrade the audio system at the HP Pavilion in San Jose. The project included the design and installation of new loudspeaker systems for the Pavilion‘s main bowl and back of house areas, and showcased Pro Media/Ultrasound‘s prowess as both a systems integration and audio rental firm. NORTHRIDGE, CALIFORNIA, February 1, 2008 — JBL Professional‘s Control 200 Series of medium-format, in-ceiling loudspeakers and accessories are now UL listed under UL1480 and UL2043. The newly listed models include the Control 226C/T, the Control 227C and the Control 227CT. With the addition of UL on the Control 200 Series, all JBL Professional in-ceiling loudspeakers are now UL listed. (more…)

Stage Research, Inc., the developer of audio, sound design and lighting software, will hold a one-day training session in Houston to introduce sound designers to SFX 6, the new version of the company‘s leading live entertainment sound playback software. The session will take place March 19 in the Hilton Americas hotel.
