Look Solutions’ CRYO-FOG Makes Magic For “Peter Pan” At The Edmund Burke School

PanWashington, D.C.‘s Edmund Burke School, a 300-student middle school and high school with a growing performing arts and theater production program, used Look Solutions‘ CRYO-FOG low-fog system in a production of J.M. Barrie‘s classic “Peter Pan.” The program stages productions in its own new theater each trimester.

The school deployed a demo unit, in combination with various lighting effects, to simulate Marooners Rock in the middle of the water. “It worked very well and gave us an interesting, spooky environment,” reports Jonathan Deull, director of production. “The CRYO-FOG created a nice, low fog that lasted and was easy to deal with. The unit is relatively quiet — an important factor when you‘re doing a play in an intimate theatre space — and is compact, light and simple to operate. That‘s important since the system was run and managed by our students — and they didn‘t have any problems with it.” (more…)

Da-Lite Introduces Automated Confidence Monitor

MPS-ACMWarsaw, IN – December 18, 2007 – Da-Lite Screen Company announces the introduction of the Mobile Automated Confidence Monitor, the MPS-ACM, to its line of presentation products. The MPS-ACM includes a 6-foot power cord and a radio frequency remote with a range of 30 feet. The MPS-ACM will work universally with most flat panel monitors and the unique rail mounting system ensures an easy installation for the monitor with the added security of a key operated lock. Heavy duty five inch casters provide a safe and stable transport of flat panel monitors when navigating uneven surfaces. The nominal height of the top of the monitor is adjustable up to 42”. The MPS-ACM will hold up to 130 lbs., will tilt upward between 15 and 50 degrees from vertical and is standard with a black powder coated finish. A manual version, the MPS-MCM, is also available.
