Planar Systems (formerly Clarity) booth (N6332) is showing its rear-projection alternatives to those 103in. plasma giants. The Clarity x100HD is a 100in. HD DLP flush-mount rear-projection display is a unit designed with conference rooms in mind. You really wouldn’t know it was a rear-projection system with the flush-mount design, which could be a little more problematic of a build for older rooms. Like other rear-projection system in the Planar line, the display is serviceable from the front. The x100 HD will be shipping in Q4.

The company is also showing its Clarity c80RP 80in. SXGA DLP rear-projection cubes. This isn’t a particularly new product, but a new size option (the 50in. c50RP tiles are also available) and the addition of the Indisys Director—a new software control system to manage and control the videowall that the company is also announcing. Available in July, this product is intended for control room application, such as utility, security and surveillance, and call center monitoring. The system also features the company’s SiFi (stands for “Set It and Forget It”) technology for automatic color balancing.
