One of the most power-hungry, resource-intensive, and waste-generating products in our industry is the projector lamp. Now Casio has taken a baby step toward a lampless future: The company has introduced a projector with a new solid-state light source. As one of the first high-brightness, eco-friendly projectors, the Green Slim incorporates a Casio-developed and patent-pending Hybrid Light Source, which combines laser and LED technology for high brightness and can last up to 20,000 hours. The Green Slim is an earth-friendly, low-maintenance, consumer-oriented projector that eliminates the need for a short-life mercury lamp and disposal, and it is economical to operate. The projector is available in eight models, including four WXGA models: the XJ-A230 and XJ-A235U with 2000 projected lumens, and the
XJ-A240 and XJ-A245U with 2500 projected lumens. The XJ-A235U and XJ-A245U come equipped with USB/WAN ports, making them well-suited for business, residential, and classroom applications.
